The 3500/93 Display Interface I/O module is a display interface module manufactured in accordance with API Standard 670. It is primarily used for system display and provides a local or remote
visual indication of all 3500 mechanical protection system information stored in the rack. This information includes data for all channels, monitors, relay modules, key phase modules, or tachometer
modules, which are listed in the System Event list.
The 3500/93 display interface I/O module features support for up to two monitors per 3500 rack, each of which requires a free slot to insert its corresponding DIM. The cable connection between
the DIM and the display, when the display is not front-mounted, can be done from the front of the 3500 rack or the I/O module on the back of the rack.
The module also provides continuous, in-line monitoring capabilities for mechanical protection applications and provides important information for early identification of mechanical failures. The
workflow consists of sensor input signals taken from the field being fed to the monitor and key phase channels within the 3500 monitor frame, the data being collected, compared with the alarm
point and sent from the monitor frame to one or more places for processing.
