The IC687RCM711 is a redundant communication module.

This module is designed for thermal redundancy systems and its main purpose is to synchronize the CPU in the system. When installed in a system, it uses the existing data in the 

backup unit to perform synchronization operations. In addition, the module can transfer data from one CPU to another, which is a very useful feature in multi-CPU systems.

The IC687RCM711 module is capable of supporting a cable length of at least 7.5 meters when connected to the system, and even up to 15 meters in some cases. This means that it

 can also work effectively in large or complex industrial environments. The module is highly compatible with GE's IC697 series cpus to ensure stability and reliability in a variety of

 applications.

In terms of installation, the IC687RCM711 module requires only one slot and contains two different connectors, the most common slot being located on the top cover of the module.
