The IC697CHS790 is a 9-slot rear rack that is part of the 90-70 series programmable Logic controller (PLC) family, previously offered by GE Fanuc Automation and now owned by Emerson Automation. The hardware provides a mounting location for any IC697 module through an available electronic mounting slot. It allows any installed module to be connected to the backplane to receive backplane power and communicate with a communications adapter or central processing unit (CPU).
The IC697CHS790 installation slot is suitable for any IC697 module. Another mounting slot is also provided for mounting the rack power supply. The rack measures 11.15 H x 19 W x 7.5 D (283mm x 483mm x 190mm) and supports extended I/O, where an additional two (2) racks can be extended and share the same power module.
The IC697CHS790 I/O configuration can be softer, while rack identification or addressing is provided by four (4) jumpers located behind the rack power supply. As a rear rack, 10 "deep space is required to properly install this hardware. In applications where heat build-up is required, the rack has specific fan attachments that can be used to prevent this from happening. Compatible rack fan assemblies include IC697ACC721 for 120 VAC power supplies; The IC697ACC724 is used for 240 VAC power supply and the IC697ACC744 is used for 24 VDC power supply.
