The IC693CMM321 is an Ethernet interface module that is part of the 90-30 series Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) platform. Manufactured by GE Fanuc Automation, the module is primarily used to connect the 90-30 series substrate directly to an existing Ethernet network. To enable distributed I/O or to allow cpus and communication adapters to communicate with remote stations, human machine interfaces (HMI), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), and distributed control systems (DCS).
The IC693CMM321 has various communication functions and can perform different tasks. The module has one (1) RS-232 RJ-11 serial port used as a station manager port, one (1) RS-485 used as a software loader port, 15-pin Type D serial port, and one (1) AAUI port used as a network port for connecting the module to an Ethernet network. The module is also equipped with LED indicators that allow the user to monitor the operation of each port and an overview of the module status. These indicators are OK, LAN, SER, and STAT.
