The IC697CPX772 is a central processing unit (CPU) module in Emerson Automation's 90-70 series Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) family. The module is specially equipped with multiple communication interfaces, one (1) RJ11 serial communication interface and two (2) 9-pin D-shell RS485 communication ports. The processor supports SNP slave, interruptionless SNP (slave), SNPX, and RTU serial protocols.
The processor has 512 KB of built-in random access memory (RAM) and 256 KB of non-volatile flash memory. The processor supports floating-point computation, which is the data format used in actual calculations and transactions, because floating-point mathematics supports decimal values.
