The UR-8CH from GE Multilin is a CT/VT module designed to be installed in a general-purpose relay as a system replacement or upgrade. This module provides 3-1A/5A phase CT and 1/5A ground CT for relays.
In addition to providing power system data, current transformers insulate the system from extreme currents and voltages, extending system life and reducing general maintenance costs. In addition, current transformers provide standardized output voltages without additional auxiliary protection. Voltage transformers also improve user safety and can reliably measure power system voltage.
CT/VT Settings can be highly modified to create unique protection schemes, thereby increasing the versatility of the module.
