The 140NOE77111 is an Ethernet network module that belongs to the Modicon Quantum family. The module is designed to enable communication between Modicon Quantum PLC and other devices on the Ethernet network.

The 140NOE77111 module contains all the electronics of the Ethernet module and is designed to be modular, using a single slot in the Modicon Quantum backplane, capable of occupying any slot in the backplane, and supports 

hot swapping. The modules have distributed I/O characteristics over Modbus TCP/IP and are interrelated using a bus or ring (copper or fiber) topology. In addition, the module has a variety of local signaling functions, including 

data rate selection (10 Mbps or 100 Mbps), collision detection, download mode, Ethernet module failure detection, Ethernet network status display, full duplex mode, module ready status, network activity status, rack operation 

status, and transmission activity status.

The 140NOE77111 module also features high performance, with a high-power processor that optimizes cycle times while integrating more communication capabilities, diagnostic systems, memory flexibility and data storage

 capabilities than before. The module uses an FTP (Ethernet port) communication driver with a transfer rate of 10/100 Mbit/s and a power consumption of 2 watts.
