The 2711-K5A2 is an Allen-Bradley PanelView Standard operating terminal with an integrated keyboard input interface, display area, communication port, and internal memory. The electronics feature compact components that support flush mounting onto an industrial-grade housing.
The 2711-K5A2 keyboard input interface consists of ten (10) function keys that accept local and global assignments, making any button available for a specific function or accepting variable assignments. In addition to function keys, the keyboard component also has a numeric key for entering numeric variables and constants; Navigation key, used to highlight the corresponding object displayed on the screen.
The operating terminal also features a 5.5-inch monochrome screen with a display area of 120 x 60 mm (4.75 x 2.38 inches) and a resolution of 256 x 128 pixels. It comes with a replaceable internal backlight and is designed to operate for up to 100,000 hours.
This shortens and maximizes engineering time, as internal testing can also be done without the need for physical hardware.
The 2711-K5A2 has a 170KB internal random access memory (RAM) and a 240KB non-volatile memory for holding application and system files such as trends, logs, and user manuals.
