The PXIE-8861 is an embedded controller based on a high-performance Intel Xeon E3-1515 processor for PXI high-speed systems.

The PXIE-8861 provides computing and peripheral I/O for the Modular Instrument Platform (PXI). The controller comes with a wealth of interface types, including two 

Thunderbolt 3.0 ports, two Display ports, two USB 3.0 and four USB 4 ports, and two Ethernet ports (one of which is 1588 enabled), as well as serial and GPIB ports. 

These interfaces provide a wide range of connectivity options, making it easy for the PXIE-8861 to interact with a variety of external devices and instruments.

The PXIE-8861 controller is particularly suited for processor-intensive RF, modular instrumentation and data acquisition applications. It runs Windows 10 applications
