The Proximitor monitor is a four-channel monitor that accepts input from the Bently Nevada proximity sensor, adjusts the signal to provide various vibration and position measurements, and compares the adjusted signal to a user-programmable alarm. The 3500 framework configuration software allows users to program each channel of the 3500/40M to perform various functions.

The primary responsibility of the front monitor is to provide the following functions:

Protect the machine by continuously comparing monitoring parameters and configured alarm Settings to drive alarms

Critical machine information for operation and maintenance personnel

Depending on the configuration, each channel typically adjusts its input signal to produce a set of parameters called static values. You can set an alarm set point for each active static and a danger set point for any two active static values.
