The CPU is a single slot wide module designed for critical applications such as emergency shutdown systems, fire fighting, gas and other applications. The CPU supports triple media redundancy (TMR) by incorporating independent C programs to enable automated test routines.
The IC697CPM790 has 1 MB of battery backup memory and up to 512KB is available for user programs configured using the ladder diagram programming language.
