The DS2020PDMAG6 is a power distribution module manufactured by General Electric as part of the Mark V for gas turbine control management systems. The Power Distribution Module (PDM) provides 125 V DC and 115 V AC (or 230 V AC) voltages to the Mark VI system for all racks and end boards. In those systems that use remote I/O cabinets, the control cabinet also has a second version of PDM.
The power filter is used to enter the PDM using the customer's 125 V de and 115/230 V AC power supplies. One or two AC/DC converters with 125 V DC output are connected to the AC power supply via cable. To create a backup power supply, then connect the devoltage cable back to the PDM and diode connected to the main DC power supply. The VME rack and terminal board receive this power distribution. AC/DC converters can handle either 115 V or 230 V AC. For operation at 115 V or 230 V, the transformer cable must be plugged into JTX1 or JTX2. The PDM is used to collect diagnostic data, which is then linked to the terminal plate mounted on the DIN rail. After that, the cable passes through J301 to the VCMI in rack "R". The fuse and cable connected to the relay terminal board is AC feed J17-20. Interface (I/O) Cabinets, protection modules, TRPG, TREG, and TRLY all have fused and wired 125 V DC feeders. PDM is provided via a control power filter (CPF) that reduces EMI noise to ensure a noise-free power supply to the board. As shown in the figure below, the CPF rack can store two or three Corcom 30 A filter modules. Before fusing and connecting to the TBCI board, the power supply at the contact input first passes through TB2, resistors R3 and R4, and TB2. The contact input uses 125 V dc excitation voltage.
