The National Instruments PXI-8423/2 (Part number: 777737-02) features a 64B FIFO, 460.8 (kb/s) transfer rate and optical isolation, and is an RS-485 interface for PXI. It is an asynchronous interface for communicating with instruments via serial ports. This model has plug-and-play compatibility with Microsoft 2000, NT, XP, Me, and 9x.
